Our Future

Summit Missions International is seeking to expand its operation and thereby serve more effectively in regions open to the mission. What this means to SMI can be summarized as follows:

Personnel. SMI is prayerfully seeking partners in missions who share the vision. Key leadership is needed to join the SMI team and further develop the product division as well as the short-term project and partnership programs. These people will facilitate the growth and effectiveness of SMI by bringing their hearts, hands and ideas to the mission. Missionaries with a desire to serve on a longer-term basis in Eastern Europe are also needed to spend extended time on the field to encourage and strengthen local believers.

Facility Partners. These partners will be other ministries who serve the needy and desire to centralize their operations with SMI. Because God is honored when His people serve together without competition, SMI desires to increase its physical plant and its visibility in the community. As more products are made available to SMI, more space to process and store them are essential.

National Churches. Because SMI has a vision to partner with local churches we desire to expand our assistance to pastors and Christian workers. This assistance will be in the form of church restructuring and development, conferences and workshops, vision casting and cross-cultural opportunities for national pastors and church-links with U.S. churches.

A Look Ahead. By God’s grace SMI will reproduce its humanitarian relief efforts in other cities and communities. Providing the model for mobilizing communities and churches for “hands-on” mission service in their towns, SMI will share its vision with other pastors and Christian workers.

In the regions open to SMI, we will seek cooperative churches to come along side and help them to sharpen their vision, build their church according to the New Testament blueprint, and facilitate their development.
